Firefighters make delivery in bakery

 

 

Diana was born yesterday morning, next to "Modern" Bakery oven in Fiães, Santa Maria da Feira. The mother, aged 22, had the help of three firefighters Lourosa of the corporation. The couple and baby are in good health at the Hospital of St. Sebastião, Feira.

The youngster, who lives next to the bakery began to feel very strong contractions and asked neighbors to call  the fire department. 'We arrived and only had time to cut the mother's underwear. In three minutes, the baby was out here ', says Manuel Ferreira, 42, one of the firefighters who attended the birth. The child's father and eight other people witnessed it all. 'In 25 years of occupation that never had happened to me. It was an indescribable emotion, "says Manuel.
