Would-be-robber GOING NOWHERE

GOING NOWHERE:   A would-be robber, his hands tied behind his back, lies in a police bakkie after being arrested in Centurion.

Pretoria - Centurion police have shot dead an armed robber and arrested four others after they stopped two suspicious-looking vehicles on Tuesday, Gauteng police said.
Colonel Noxolo Kweza said police saw two suspicious-looking cars with five occupants in Centurion at 11:00.

"One of them walked into the bank and back. They then left, but the officers followed them."
Police stopped them a few blocks away. Four of them climbed out of the cars and lay on the ground.
"One of them refused to lie down. Instead, he drew a firearm and police saw this and fired at him," said
Kweza.
He died on the scene. The other four were arrested when police found two unlicensed firearms in the cars.
Kweza said they had been positively linked to a number of armed robberies in the Lyttelton area.
