Alarming footage of a reckless biker riding full-throttle on one wheel on Sheikh Zayed Road proves dangerous drivers remain undeterred on Dubai’s highways, campaigners warn.Just three weeks after two Emirati 4x4 drivers escaped with a dhs1,000 fine for a two-wheeled stunt on the same highway, footage of a thrill-seeking motorcyclist following suit has emerged.
The two-minute video, which has the Mission Impossible theme tune as its soundtrack, was uploaded on YouTube on Saturday and shows a trio of bikers speeding along the Al Barsha stretch of road before one pulls an almost vertical wheelie and careers down the middle lane for several kilometres.

General manager of Emirates Driving Institute, Peter Richardson, slammed the antics and said a tougher message must be sent out by the authorities. “They think they are above the law,” he said. “The punishment given to those 4x4 drivers unquestionably reinforces that infallibility. An example should have been made of those drivers. These road users are impervious to warnings.”
